Autumn in and around Hebden Bridge is always spectacular. The narrow valleys of the Upper Calder Valley are cloaked with beautiful woodland and cut by fast flowing streams forming steep cloughs.
Straight out the door I have access Crows Nest Wood and Horsehold Wood, a little further afield are the delightful Nutclough Woods and Hardcastle Crags. These woods are criss-crossed with footpaths and causeys (paved paths made for mill workers to commute, in their clogs, from cottage to mill) However, fotoVUE is getting increasingly busy and challenging to manage, and these time constraints can be frustrating, especially in autumn. I have to grab short trips out when I can. Here are is a small selection of images I took this autumn just finishing.
