It was foggy and damp most of the day yesterday. As I worked in the afternoon, I couldn't even see Old Town mill, but what was above the fog? I didn't know and was locked into work. But about an hour before sunset, with a drop in the temperature, I spotted a gap in the lifting fog and a glimmer of blue; signs that something special might be happening. At this time of year my camera bag and tripod is ready to go, along with extra batteries and memory cards. I jumped in the van, shit, tank was empty. A quick fuel stop at Mytholmroyd and I headed to high places, Old Town and Pecket Well, and was greeted with the most amazing scenes that I'd seen in a while. Here are a selection of video and images from a very magical hour. I will be processing some of these images for printing shortly and they will be available as prints via my website.
