Hardcastle Crags is a beautiful valley cut by Hebden Water that drains off the neighbouring high moors. That water power drove several mills, the last remaining here is Gibson MIll, built as a cotton mill by Abraham Gibson in 1800. It is now a National Trust visitor centre. The National Trust manage this very special area.
